Wow, Bin Laden is Dead!

When I first heard the news of Osama Bin Laden's death I had mixed emotions. My first feeling was joy because it meant that his reign of terror was over. I had (and still have)such pride in my country and our armed forces. My next emotion was fear and concern because there is a good chance that his followers will retaliate against our troops. I know many military overseas and I pray for their safety. My last emotion was anger as I listened to our president's speech. He used the word "I" MANY times in his speech and seemed to take credit for Bin Laden's death. He took the credit before he even gave credit to our military who have been there risking their lives. The speech also made me feel sick to my stomach because of his arrrogance while he took the credit. Then, he FINALLY gave credit where credit is due- to our service men and women. And then he finished the speech quoting the pledge and saying God Bless America thinking we wouldn't all remember how he took credit for the whole thing. Because of his repeating "I" many times, I could no longer feel the joy I had at first. Another reason I think I got so mad at him taking the credit is because he REPEATEDLY said that he was against the war, against us being there. If you're against it, how can you take credit when we finally get Osama? Yes, I said "we" knowing that "I" had nothing to do with it, but I mean "we" as America.

"My" job in this for now is to pray for our country, pray for Americans who are overseas-be it military, tourists, missionaries, etc. and to even pray for our president who I do not care for at all. I also pray that we, as Americans, come to our senses and vote him out in 554 days.

Have a great night folks and peace out!
